PANELISTS
Kay Gordon
Kay Gordon is co-head of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s Investment Management Group and a partner in the Firm’s New York office where she counsels clients on hedge fund, funds-of-fund, private equity fund, real estate fund, venture funds, and compliance-related matters involving registered advisers and broker-dealers. She also advises clients on a broad range of securities and regulatory matters as well as a variety of financial instruments and transactions, including managed accounts, credit facilities, joint ventures, and derivative instruments. She works closely with strategic, institutional, and seed investors and also represents clients in investigations by the SEC and other regulators. She is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) and currently serves on an advisory board of a large hedge fund. Kay has her BA from Allegheny College  and JD from University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Arif Joshi ’03 BUS
Arif is co-head of Lazard’s Emerging Market Debt team. As a portfolio manager, he is responsible for determining macroeconomic views, asset allocation and usage of risk budgets across Lazard’s suite of emerging market debt stratergies. The team manages $17bn of assets in both long only and total return strategies across sovereign, corporate and local debt in EM. Prior to joining Lazard in 2010, Arif was with HSBC Asset Management (formerly Halbis) where he served as Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager. At HSBC, Arif was responsible for global emerging markets, focusing on corporate and sovereign credit analysis, risk management and quantitative modeling. He began this role at The Atlantic Advisors LLC (acquired by HSBC in 2005). Prior to HSBC, he was an associate at Strategic Management Group where he advised Fortune 500 companies on finance and corporate strategy. Arif has an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Yusef Kassim
Yusef joined Blue Harbour Group in 2015. Prior to joining Blue Harbour Group, he was a senior member of the Investor Relations Group at Eton Park Capital Management from 2008 to 2015. Previously, he was a Partner and Head of Marketing & Investor Relations for R6 Capital Management and at Gerson Lehrman Group, where he was a Senior Vice President from 2001-2007. Mr. Kassim began his career at Goldman Sachs in the Prime Brokerage Sales Group. Mr. Kassim earned a BAS in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999.

Ercole Volonnino 
Ercole  joined Barnegat Fund Management in 2009 and is responsible for identifying and capturing arbitrage and relative-value opportunities in the sovereign bond, interest rate derivative, and FX markets. Ercole trades these instruments across the globe in their local times and is the primary trader. He also leads Barnegat’s electronic trading initiatives. In addition, he is responsible for managing part of Barnegat’s assets. He has completed the FINRA Series 3 certification. Ercole holds a BS in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
