A VIP Experience of WATERLICHT—a dream landscape and monumental public art event

Columbia University Club members are invited to a VIP experience of WATERLICHT—a dream landscape and monumental public art event by acclaimed Dutch artist and innovator Daan Roosegaarde.

5-6PM│The evening begins in conversation with acclaimed Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde and Carol Becker, Dean of Columbia University School of the Arts.

6:15-7:15PM│Interlude at Pisticci. We will stop by Pisticci, a farm-to-table Italian trattoria, on our way to the WATERLICT installation. The registration fee covers two glasses of wine or beer and shared Antipasti.

7:30-8PM│The evening concludes with a tour of the monumental installation WATERLICHT—illuminating the power and poetry of water while bringing awareness about rising global sea levels.

Translated as “water light,” WATERLICHT is a centerpiece of Columbia University’s Year of Water, a year-long interdisciplinary exploration including art, lectures, symposia, and research, uniting the campus and its constituents to examine and celebrate the planet’s most precious resource.
