1754 Alumni Club Ltd., also known as The Columbia University Club of New York (“Club,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), frequently photographs, records, and films Club-sponsored meetings, networking events, lectures, social gatherings, and other activities.
By attending a Club event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Photography and Recording
The Club may photograph, audio record, or video record attendees during Club events.
These recordings may include your likeness, image, voice, name, or other identifying characteristics.
Use of Images
Photographs and recordings may be used by the Club without compensation for lawful Club purposes, including:
- the Club website;
- newsletters;
- email communications;
- social media;
- promotional materials;
- annual reports;
- fundraising materials;
- historical archives; and
- other publications relating to the Club’s mission and activities.
No Ownership Rights
All photographs, video recordings, and audio recordings created by or on behalf of the Club remain the property of the Club.
Third-Party Media
Club events may also be photographed or recorded by members of the media, invited guests, sponsors, or attendees. The Club is not responsible for the use of images or recordings created by third parties.
Opt-Out Requests
The Club understands that some individuals may prefer not to appear in photographs or recordings.
If you wish to minimize the use of your image, please notify a Club representative upon arrival at the event or contact the Club in advance whenever reasonably possible. While the Club will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests, we cannot guarantee that your image will not appear in crowd photographs or recordings taken in public event spaces.
