A Special Night at The Players Club
Please join us at The Players, a historic private club along Gramercy Park, for its Live From Gramercy Park series. The night is a mix of cabaret, music, wit and words hosted by Lance Horne. Lance Horne is an Emmy Award-winning composer, who has performed for, among others, President Obama and Queen Elizabeth II. The aim of these evenings is to provide a supportive environment for the creative and talented performers that are the hallmark of New York City, while allowing the audience to enjoy a unique experience.
Prior to the performance, a member of The Players will be available to provide a guided tour of the clubhouse. The Players is a social club founded in 1888 by, among others, Edwin Booth, Mark Twain and General William Tecumseh Sherman for the promotion of social intercourse between the representative members of the dramatic profession and the kindred professions of literature, painting, sculpture and music, and the patrons of the arts. The Players is located in a Gothic Revival-style mansion designed by Stanford White, which is a National Historic Landmark. Please note that space is limited, and beverages can be purchased at The Players with a credit card.
