Cooper Hewitt Tour of Heatherwick Studio Architecture and Design
Please join us on a visit to the Cooper Hewitt Museum and a private tour of the exhibit of Thomas Heatherwick’s outstanding designs. Thomas Heatherwick has been hailed as a genius for the unique inventive nature of his work. His design concepts can be seen in the Longchamp handbag and the mixed-use development in Shanghai. His projects in the United States include design work on the Google Mountain View Campus in California and monumental artwork for Manhattan’s Hudson Yards. He also helped design Pier 55, a redevelopment of the old Pier 54, which will be transformed into an aquatic park with performance space on the Hudson River.
The Cooper Hewitt Museum is located on 2 East 91st Street. Please meet the group in the museum lobby at 10:45AM to begin the tour promptly at 11:00AM. After the private tour, the group will take a short walk to Le Paris Bistrot located at 1312 Madison Avenue. The Cooper Hewitt Museum may be reached by 4, 5 or 6 subway or by the M1, M2, M3, M4 bus.
