The New York Society Library Tour
Join Program Committee member, Arlyne Krum, for a tour of the oldest library in New York City, The New York Society Library, and learn the history of this hidden treasure.
Walk through the Library and see the growing collection of nearly 300,000 volumes that have been collected over the last 260 years with roughly 4,000 books added each year. The collection includes fiction, literature, history, social sciences, the arts, travel and books about New York City. In addition, the library subscribes to over 100 periodicals and maintains a superior collection of audiobooks. The newest addition to the New York Society Library is the Children’s Library.
Please meet the group promptly at 6:30PM in the lobby of the New York Society Library. The Library may be reached by the 6 subway or by the M1, M2, M3, M4 bus.

Event Cancellation Policy
Free Events: Please call, email, or go online to cancel your reservation by noon on the day of the event to avoid being billed the full price of event. Members who do not cancel their reservation will be charged a $10 no-show fee for each reservation (member and guest).
Paid Events: Occasionally events are final sale or have a final sale date, so please check the full event description prior to making your reservation. If an event has no final sale date listed, please cancel two business days prior to the event to avoid being charged the full price of the event.
