For decades, the private school world has acknowledged that it has a diversity problem. With tuition soaring and financial aid budgets tightening, the problem at many schools is likely to get worse.
David Allyn is CEO of the non-profit Oliver Scholars, an organization that serves high-achieving students who face socioeconomic barriers to success. Allyn is a thoughtful and experienced educator who has written four books and dozens of articles.
