Philippa Portnoy

Philippa Portnoy has a BA from Barnard College and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Philippa is the co-founder of LaunchBreak, a personalized job search prep platform for young adults. Previously, Philippa ran the Latin American Aviation Finance Group at Citigroup.

Philippa has been an active alumna of Barnard and Columbia since graduation. She has been an advocate for women as a founding member of the Barnard Athena Center for Leadership Studies and a co- founder of the Columbia Women’s Leadership Council for Athletics. She is a Barnard Trustee and serves on the Alumnae Association of Barnard College Board. As a member of the University’s Alumnae Engagement Committee, she helped to plan Columbia’s first University-wide women’s conference held in 2018. Other current and past leadership roles include: Columbia Athletics Leadership Committee, Columbia Alumni Association (CAA) Board, CAA Strategic Planning Committee, Barnard Alma Maters Steering Committee, Women Creating Change Leadership Council, President of the Varsity C Club and co-chair of CAA Arts Access. She is also a CAA Alumni Medalist. She has been an active supporter of the Storefront Academy in Harlem and is a founding volunteer of NYCNext
