Lisa Sachs
Lisa Sachs is Director of the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment at Columbia Climate School and an Associate Professor of Professional Practice. She also directs Columbia’s M.S. program in Climate Finance.
A globally recognized expert on sustainable investment, Sachs works at the intersection of law, policy, finance, and development, advising governments, international organizations, financial institutions, and companies worldwide. Her work focuses on aligning investment practices with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement.
She holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University, a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar.

Jeffrey D. Sachs
Jeffrey D. Sachs is a University Professor and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University. One of the world’s leading economists, he is widely known for his work on sustainable development, global health, poverty reduction, and climate change.
Sachs previously served as Director of Columbia’s Earth Institute and has advised three United Nations Secretaries-General on global development issues. He is President of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network and an SDG Advocate for the United Nations.
A bestselling author, Sachs has written The End of Poverty, Common Wealth, The Price of Civilization, and The Ages of Globalization. He is the co-recipient of the 2015 Blue Planet Prize and has been named twice to Time magazine’s 100 most influential people.
