Essentrics is a no/low-impact, dynamic stretch workout using body weight to lengthen and strengthen from head to toe. The workout rebalances all +650 muscles and conditions our bones, unlocking tight joints and fascia. Created in Canada, Essentrics is popular among both men and women – Olympic athletes and chronic pain sufferers, and everyone in between. Using rotational movements and physiotherapy techniques, the method safely and quickly conditions the full body to feel looser, stronger, and toned, with no soreness or pain after.
Special note: Participants should have a chair ready for the session. The chair can be a typical dining chair or solid folding chair without armrests and a back high enough to rest your hands comfortably while standing tall.
This event is open to members in good standing.
Betty Ng graduated from UChicago and Cornell University and has worked on Wall St. for over 15 years before becoming a movement coach. While recovering from autoimmune issues she discovered Essentrics which aided her recovery, inspiring her to study and teach it. Betty is currently the only fully certified teacher of this method in NYC, as well as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. According to the creator of Essentrics, Betty is “the instructor for the intelligent and discerning.”
