Honoring Asian Columbia Alumni Association – 20 Years of Alumni Service

In the spring of 1995, the Asian Columbia Alumni Association (ACAA) was formed in response to the growing Asian Columbia alumni population.

On April 30, the ACAA will celebrate and highlight their most important milestones at a commemorative gala. The evening will be hosted by Sree Sreenivasan ’93JRN, Chief Digital Officer of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Columbia University Club of New York members are invited to join the celebration!

Pre-Gala Programming Opportunities: 

For those interested in reconnecting with Columbia’s beautiful campus and some of its current students, ACAA will host a a series of pre-gala events, including:

1) A Treasure Tour of the East Asian Library ( 4:00PM-5:00PM or  5:00PM-6:00PM)

During this private tour the C.V. Starr East Asian Library will open its Treasure collection for the ACAA community. The C.V. Starr East Asian Library owns many rare and unique rare and unique assets in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tibetan, and Western languages. Tour participants will have access to the Rare Book and Special Collections Reading Room, which houses rare book collections.

2) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Open Forum (5:15 – 6:00PM)

This forum will examine Trends and Opportunities in Innovations and Entrepreneurship in the U.S. and Asia: a networking event for alumni and students interested in meeting and exchanging ideas with fellow Columbians who are actively engaging in or interested in participating in Innovation Start-Ups and Entrepreneurship.

3) CU Lion Current Student Showcase (5:00 – 5:45PM)

Come to the Student Showcase and hear from current students all about the great work they are doing both in and outside of Columbia University. Selected from a diverse group of students from various schools of Columbia, the student presenters will take you on a tour of their passions and missions including world-changing projects, artistic pursuits and intercultural exchanges in their 10-minute showcase. Participants include the founder of CU China Dance, recipients of Forbes “30 under 30s” in the healthcare category and the Japan Study Student Association.
