Andrew Carroll ’93CC: Here is Where: Discovering America’s Forgotten History

Where in North America was the oldest sample of human DNA discovered? Which relatively unknown American scientist saved millions of lives? Where did America’s deadliest maritime disaster take place? How many unmarked places are there where intriguing events have unfolded and that we walk past every day, not realizing their significance?

Andrew Carroll ’93CC  – author of three New York Times best-selling books – chronicles his journey across America exploring unmarked historic sites where extraordinary moments occurred in his newest book Here is Where: Discovering America’s Forgotten History.

In addition to being a New York Tines best-selling author, Mr. Carroll is the founder of the Legacy Project. Founded in 1998, the Legacy Project is a national, all-volunteer initiative that encourages Americans to seek out and preserve the personal correspondence of our nation’s veterans, active-duty troops, and their loved ones.
